The HARRIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE - JUNIOR MOUNTED POSSE is a non-profit youth sports and education organization which represent the Harris County Sheriff's Office. While the Posse members are each temporarily issued some equipment (official Sheriff's Dept. uniform shirts and badges) from the HCSD, the Posse is a separate entity from the Sheriff's Dept., receives no financial support from them, and must seek it's own funding through corporate sponsorship, private donations, membership dues and fund drives. All contributions are fully tax-deductable. The Posse continues it's proud and longstanding tradition of developing the leaders of tomorrow by instilling the qualities and values in it's members necessary for their success and for the betterment of society. These qualities and values include: - Reverence for God and Country
- Respect for Authority and the Rule of Law
- Personal Morality
- Leadership
- Teamwork
- Fellowship
- Sportsmanship
- Citizenship
- Duty and Public Service
- Organizational Officership and Public Speaking
- Patience, Perseverance and Diligence
- Stewardship
- Responsibility and Accountability
- A Strong Personal Work Ethic
- Excellence as their Personal Standard
We invite you to join us in this work of building up Harris County's youth by sponsoring the Posse. Our greatest need is financial support; 100% of donations go towards the costs of operating the Posse or to help fund Citizenship Projects such as sending care packages to Sheriff's Deputies stationed in Afganistan and Iraq. Donations can also include goods and services, which are also tax deductable. Please contact us for details. To show our appreciation for our sponsors, we include their company or personal banner on our site.
